Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star maintains substantial social media audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile supporters when she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns several courses worldwide and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically suggested to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has played in only three events this year and has position 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He represents the best player in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior person. He told me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence brings the sport to new audiences, particularly among youth audiences.
The young star has millions of followers and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
