The woman, who also did not mention the athlete directly, posted a series of photos on social media that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. She did say the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has kids with Rice, whom the team selected in the 2023 draft.
Official Complaints Currently Not on File
No police reports were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have occurred.
Rice's Prior Off-Field Troubles
Rice missed the initial part of this NFL campaign due to an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a multi-vehicle accident on a Texas roadway that left multiple people hurt. Rice was given 30 days in jail and five yearsâ probation after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
On the field, Rice concluded the season with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Kansas City went 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a ten-year span.
