Dominant Aryna Sabalenka Secures Back-to-Back WTA Top Player Accolades.
The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.
The twenty-seven-year-old captured four tournament victories â the highest tally on the circuit â which included retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.
A Year of High Performance
Across the season, Sabalenka competed in a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.
The Belarusian also claimed victory at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.
In July, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.
Record-Breaking Statistics
Sabalenka finished the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and earned a historic eleven million pounds in earnings.
She earned nearly 80% of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.
