Close to 90 Air Travels Associated to Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from UK Airports
Analysis has uncovered that nearly 90 aircraft journeys connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have arrived at and departed from British airports, with some reportedly transporting British women who allege they were exploited by the convicted sex offender.
Flight Logs Reveal Trail of Movement
These aviation records were among thousands of court documents and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the last year. The investigation found 87 flights tied to Epstein â featuring many that were previously unknown â landing or taking off from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unidentified female passengers were listed among the passengers flying to and from the UK. Notably, 15 of these UK flights happened after Epsteinâs 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a underage person.
âThis is âshockingâ that there had never been a âthorough probe in the UKâ into his operations in the country,â remarked American attorneys acting for numerous Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
A statement from one of the British victims aided the conviction of Epsteinâs associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that survivor has not received any contact by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police indicated they had ânot been provided with any additional evidence that would support reopening the investigation.â They noted, âShould new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, encompassing any arising from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.â
Continuing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
A bill to disclose every document held by the American government in relation to Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to follow through. Hundreds of thousands of papers are projected to be released.
Additionally, a federal judge ruled last week that the department could make public investigative materials from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinâs close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
